Process Development and Technical Service

Our Process Development/Technical Service team plays a key role in the development of pilot and full-scale manufacturing processes for all skincare, personal care and color cosmetic products. The team is responsible for the creation and revision of manufacturing instructions for our internal R&D and external Client formulations. Pilot scale-ups and full production monitoring are routinely carried out to ensure the best processing methods are identified for consistent and quality finished goods. Bulk from first production batches are collected to assess stability in accelerated conditions to compare to lab bench stability.

Communication is at the core of our team acting as a liaison between our R&D team, Clients and Manufacturing while always keeping Quality Assurance at the center. Interaction with other critical departments helps the team implement process improvements, complete successful manufacture, and engage in root cause analysis when process challenges arise.

The team is comprised of chemists, engineers and validation specialists that can carry out lab validations for customer formula transfers, reverse engineer commercial products, assess optimal filling conditions for hot pour products and identify creative solutions to manufacture difficult formulations. For OTC formulations, the team is poised to carry out the necessary testing outlined in our internal protocols and complete final reports required by the FDA for OTC production.
